Radio Altimeter Garmin GRA 55 with 5G filter on Airbus AS350 B3 / H125

Description

 

 

This certified modification enables the installation of the Garmin GRA 55 radio altimeter system — including its 5G interference filter — on Airbus H125 (AS350 B3e) rotorcraft.

 

 

Designed to enhance flight safety in low-altitude environments, the system delivers accurate Above Ground Level (AGL) altitude readings and provides both aural and visual alerts when descending below a predefined decision height or a fixed 100-foot threshold. This improves pilot situational awareness, especially during final approach and critical low-level operations.

 

 

The system operates from 0 to 2,500 feet AGL, with the following accuracy: 

    ü±1.5 feet between 0 and 100 feet

    ü±2% between 100 and 2,500 feet.

 

 

The installation kit includes all necessary components and is delivered with EASA form 1.
